	There is no road between Bear Gulch and Chaparral, even though some maps show such as road. It is, however, possible to hike between then two ends of Highway 146 over the Old Pinnacles Trail to the Balconies Trail. You can incorporate the Juniper Canyon Trail and the High Peaks Trail into a loop, and cover much of the park in a single day of hiking.
