Alnus incana (L.) Moench ssp. tenuifolia (Nutt.) Brietung.  Thinleaf Alder.

Twin Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado. About 7 miles west and south on F. R. 211 from its north end at County Road 126 to a USFS designated parking place, then about 325 m. generally northwest on old roads into the Twin Creek drainage, 11.8 km. southwest of Deckers. 39.20556°N, 105.34889°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 2388 m. Dense thicket about 125 m. by 25 m. wide on both sides of Twin Creek. Coll. Nos. 3511 and 3512.1 have only pistillate catkins; Coll. No. 3512 has both pistillate and staminate catkins.
