Twin Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado. Edge of a drying mud puddle in an old road between Twin Creek and F. R. 211, 11.8 km. southwest of Deckers. 39.20437°N, 105.34687°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 2387 m. Also here: Artemisia frigida, Senecio spartioides, Chenopodium leptophyllum, Cercocarpus montanus, Verbascum thapsus, Bouteloua gracilis, and Eriocoma robusta.
