Oxytropis lambertii Pursh.  Purple Locoweed.

North Twin Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado. Beside a cow/horse trail along North Twin Creek, 60 m. northwest of the F. R. 211 crossing of North Twin Creek, 6.8 mi. west and south on F. R. 211 from its north end at County Road 126, 11.5 km. southwest of Deckers. 39.20844°N, 105.34566°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 2407 m. Flowers magenta, fading blue. Open ponderosa pine and Douglas fir forest, Penstemon virens also collected at this location. Mature trees suggest the Hayman Fire (2002) burned with low intensity here.
