Pseudoroegneria spicata (Pursh) A. Löve.  Bluebunch Wheat Grass.

North Twin Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado. Along a horse/cow trail on the low ridge southwest of North Twin Creek, 315 m. northwest of the crossing of North Twin Creek by F. R. 211, 6.8 mi. west and south on F. R. 211 from its north end at County Road 126, 11.6 km. southwest of Deckers. 39.20914°N, 105.34852°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 2436 m. Rhizomatous, 2-sided spike, 1 spikelet per node, little overlap, lemma awn divergent when dry. Open forest with Pinus ponderosa, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Antennaria sp., Artemisia frigida, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, and Koeleria macrantha.

No. 3458.1, 21 July 2025, characters observed: Perennial grass, to 40 cm., rhizomatous, glabrous throughout; Inflorescence, 2-sided spike; Spikelets, 1 per node, flatside to rachis, sessile, overlap 28%; Disarticulation, above the glumes; Glumes, lanceolate, rolled, lower glume, 8 mm., veins 3 (not symmetric), short tip, upper glume, 9 mm., veins 4 (visible, not symmetric) awn 1 mm.; Lemma 10 mm., veins 5, awn 10 mm. divergent when dry; Palea, 9 mm.
