Apocynum androsaemifolium L.  Bitter Dogbane.

North Twin Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado. Along a fading horse/cow trail on the ridge southwest of North Twin Creek, about 435 m. northwest of the crossing of North Twin Creek by F. R. 211, 6.8 mi. west and south on F. R. 211 from its north end at County Road 126, 11.6 km. southwest of Deckers. 39.20989°N, 105.34963°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 2444 m. Leaves drooping. Many small plants here, but very few with flowers. Open ponderosa pine and Douglas fir forest, with Juniperus communis, Achillea millefolium, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Androsace septentrionalis, and Elymus elymoides. Within the perimeter of the Hayman Fire (2002). This area mapped as unburned though there are some charred stumps and down logs.
