Sorbus aucuparia L.  European Mountain Ash.

Welch Ditch, Jefferson County, Colorado. On the easternmost edge of Clear Creek Canyon Park, north bank of the Welch Ditch, 1.72 km. west southwest of the GNIS location of Golden. 39.7518°N, 105.2358°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 1768 m. The few bud scales that could be found in these specimens were quite hairy. Also collected nearby: Holodiscus dumosus, and Prunus americana.
