No. 1012, 22 July 2013, characters observed while keying: Annual, to 80 cm., scaly or powdery throughout; Stem, not jointed, striated; Leaves, weakly fleshy, flattened, primary, 31 mm. × 3.5 mm., lance-linear, 1-veined from base, top acute to rounded, not spine-tipped, short-petioled to sessile, distal not clasping; Flowers, bisexual, calyx lobes 5, appendages 0, condition in fruit unknown; Stamens 5; Ovary superior; Stigma branches 2; Seeds not available, assumed to be horizontal.
