No. 1036, 31 August 2013, characters observed while keying: Herbaceous annual or biennial to 1.5 m.; Sap copious milky; Leaves cauline widely clasping; Head with only ray flowers (liguliflorus); Receptacle epaleate; Pappus of bristles, smooth; Corolla yellow; Fruit ±compressed, beaked, slender, 5 ribs per face, wing-margined.
