| I found this photograph at the former Holmes Book Company on 14th Street in downtown Oakland, California. It was upstairs, in a backroom, in a box full of old photographs. I think I paid a $1.00 for it. It stays framed on my wall at home. | |

My current guess is that this photo was taken between 1925 and 1934 in North Africa. I don't have any particular reasons for selecting those dates and location. It's just my guess. If you have a guess, with or without a rationale behind the guess, I would be very interested in hearing it. | |

These photos may be of either goat rock, castle rock or overlook/skyline rocks areas which are in the santa cruz mnts. south of the san jose /los gatos area. I climbed there during high school in the 70's. one photo has tree shade in it that looks like an oak. I don't think N.A. has oaks (Troy, Cypress, CA, 12 Jan 2005) |
