Edgar Mine, Clear Creek County, Colorado. 153 m. east southeast of the mine portal, 1.36 km. west northwest of the GNIS location of Idaho Springs. 39.7473°N, 105.5241°W. WGS 1984 Elev. 2392 m. Southeast facing slope, with Juniperus scoparia and Cercocarpus montanus. Leaves collected for DNA analysis. Approximate topotype.
